GEEQ is a charitable not-for-profit with the goal to get GEEQs (that’s geeks with EQ) into IT and to keep them there! Founded by Azadeh Khojandi and Katrin Schmidt, GEEQ turned the nearly 5,000 member-strong community Girl Geek Sydney into a charitable not-for-profit and registered charity. GEEQ and its events are inclusive and open to everyone - but the main focus and goal is to empower all women who wish to commence or further their careers in IT. GEEQ organises a range of virtual and in-person networking events including Speed Hiring, Fireside Chat, Book Club as well as special events like the annual all-women hackathon and Hybrid workshops.
